Disclaimer
Peptide Handling Guide is an educational reference for laboratory research. It is not medical advice.
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Please read this disclaimer before relying on anything published on Peptide Handling Guide. By using the site you accept the limits described here.
Research use only
The information on this site concerns the laboratory storage, handling and documentation of research materials. It is intended for qualified people working in appropriate laboratory settings. Nothing on this site describes, recommends or endorses the use of any peptide in humans or animals, and nothing here should be read as a suggestion that a research material is suitable for such use.
Many of the peptides discussed are not approved medicines. Their regulatory status varies by country and can change. You are responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply where you work.
Not medical, veterinary or regulatory advice
Nothing on this site is medical, veterinary, legal or regulatory advice. Do not use it to make decisions about health, treatment or dosing. If you have a health question, speak to a qualified clinician. If you have a regulatory question, consult your institution’s compliance office or the relevant authority.
Not a substitute for local procedures
Follow your institution’s procedures, your chemical hygiene plan, your biosafety rules and the instructions supplied with each material. Where these conflict with anything here, they take precedence. Wear the protective equipment your risk assessment requires, and consult the safety data sheet for each substance and solvent before you handle it.
Accuracy and limits of the evidence
We cite sources and revise pages, but we cannot guarantee that every statement is complete, current or correct for your material. In particular:
- Few research peptides have published shelf-life data. Many recommendations apply general peptide chemistry to a specific sequence, and pages say when they do.
- Storage bands and time frames are conservative starting points, not validated shelf lives. Stability depends on the exact sequence, counterion, formulation, container and how the material has been handled before it reached you.
- Supplier documentation, including certificates of analysis, describes a specific lot. Where the supplier’s instructions differ from a general recommendation here, follow the supplier and, if in doubt, ask them.
- Sources are checked when a page is written or revised. Later publications may change the picture before we update the page.
Tools and printables
The storage finder, checklists, label maker and log sheets are aids to good practice. The storage finder applies simple rules to your answers and cannot account for every property of a material. Check its suggestions against the full guides and your supplier’s documentation, and adapt the printables to your own procedures.
External links
We link to journals, databases, regulators and other external sites so you can check our sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or accuracy.
Commercial relationships
This site is supported by NuLife Peptides, a supplier of research peptides. The support does not change the advice, which applies to material from any source. Links to the supporter are rare and labeled. See About this site for how this relationship is handled.
